Chief Michael Neymanowski started with this agency in 1998 as a part time patrol officer and communications officer. Before coming working for the Oxford Police Department, Neymanowski worked for Detroit Police. After 30 years of service with Detroit Police, Neymanowski retired his position of Detective Sergeant. In 2000, Neymanowski applied along with five other individuals for the position of Chief of Police and was hired as such to head up the villages new police department.
