Frequently, citizens applying for employment will find that their prospective employer requires a clearance letter from their local police department. This is a service the Oxford Police Department provides.

To obtain a clearance letter you must appear at the police department with photo identification. A search of the departments records is done and a letter is then generated listing any criminal contacts the requester may have had with the department.

There is a $5.00 charge for this service for nonresidents of the Village of Oxford. No charge for residents.
